Produce:

  • 2 white onions
  • 9 garlic cloves
  • 2 limes
  • 6 Roma tomatoes
  • 2-3 serrano peppers (1 for mild spice, 2 for medium spice and 3 for hot) 1 bunch cilantro 
  • 2 sprigs fresh mint

Pantry:

  • 1 3/4 cups low-sodium vegetable broth
  • 1 cup masa harina (i recommend the Maseca brand or Masienda)
  • Sea salt
  • Plenty of water to cook with
  • 1 cup long-grain white rice
  • 2 cups uncooked pinto or black beans
  • neutral oil, such as avocado oil
  • 1/4 cup dried hibiscus flower or 4 hibiscus tea bags
  • 2 tablespoons Agave syrup or maple syrup

Frozen:

  • 1 cup frozen mixed vegetable (corn, peas, carrot & green bean mixture)
  • 2 cups of ice 

EQUIPEMNT

  • Large pan
  • Large pot
  • Large mixing bowl 
  • Plastic produce bag or large ziplock 
  • Colander
  • Large pan with lid (one like this)
